The font i am going to use for our thriller production is 'Apple Chancery Style'. The reason for wanting to use this particular style of font is because researching into neo-noir films such as 'Drive(2011)' and 'The Hot Spot(1990)', the fonts would usually suit the story lines which were usually sold to their target audience via the film poster. The font would used in films would be edgy yet simplistic, with the colour of them connoting some sort of power, danger, love and suspicion.
In the font used is Mistral. The stroke has an informal graphic quality similar to brush and ink. The lower-case letters are carefully designed to connect on a line to an extent unusual in script fonts. The font was also used in the film 'Flash Dance (1984)'.
