We got a Canon 100d to use during the production of our final product. This is because we learnt quite early on that every movie has a good camera, with clear zoom and focus. Therefore, we would also need one in order to make our opening sequence look proffessional.
We learnt that a lot of scenes also needed stability in order to achieve the clear zoom and focus mentioned earlier. So, we found that the best thing to support this would be using a Tripod, which made filming much more easier. when setting up our tripod we had to make sure we placed it on level ground, with fully open legs and extended to equal lengths which made the tripod more stable. Our editing softwae was iMovie. This taught us how to use different feautures of film editing. For example, how to over-lap a variety of clips, add a fade, slow down certain scenes and how to fade music in and out, etc. Also we learnt how to overlay different sounds together, which was done at 0:40 in our final product. Garageband taught us how to combine different sounds and tunes in order to create our final music. we learnt how to fade the music/sounds in and out so that it contrasted well with the scenes. We were also informed on how to upload our music to itunes. We found this veri useful as it meant we could access our music from any device. When using photoshop at first we found it quite confussing as there was many tools and we werent sure where to start. however after a breif sumary on how to operate the application we got an idea of what we were looking for and how to create our logo. the first thing we did was layering to put all aspects of our logo on seperat layers so we could alter them individually. We used the fading tool in multiple areas, especially the background as we didnt want it to look harsh as it wouldn't make it seem as professional. When importing our images onto the software were weren't too keen on the colours that the picture contained. Therefore, we changed it as we wanted to keep in simple (black & white). another tool we used was the cropping tool, this allowed us to select the parts of the images that were necessary.
