We only had a few ideas to film our opening sequence in but was running out of time so we chose the easier option of going with my house as we know the location and it would require no documentation so sign for. Some of our other ideas were to use The Great Park or The Wreck however these were deemed unsuitable as you can't stop the public from using these parks. With it getting darker at around 3:50ish we chose to film around 4 because we felt that this would mean that we would have more time to get anything we wanted to do within a longer time period.
This is the main bedroom in which we will use to show what the parents looked like when they were murdered and to also give the homely atmosphere. This is suitable to use because my mum doesn't come back from work until around 4:00ish so we can do any scenes we need to do without her being in the way. These areas of the house are being used for the hand-held shot and the wide shot. They are somewhat suitable to film in however with this hallway being the main one from the upper level and ground floor rooms to the kitchen, it can be a hassle trying to get people to stay in one room (especially if you have 3 generations of people living in the same house).
