This is our backstage of our film, we wanted to feature some scenes that were not featured in our film and show our experiences while we were filming. As a group we all went to our scene (park) to shoot are film and we all had a great experience and learnt a lot of things, such as were we should film it? what time should we shoot it? The mise en scene?
We all had a great time, but there were difficulties that we all faced through shooting of the film.

We all came together to think of names that could relate to our horror-thriller film. Our theme was jealousy so we decided to look up synonyms to make our film title more eye-catching and to attract the audience:
We then started to think of titles that were foreign to make it sound more ominous.
We asked a few students if any of the names sounded interesting. Their responses were helpful as they didn't like the second half of the titles that were in different languages and they felt that the titles should have a meaning with our opening sequence. The costumes and props are important in films, it makes it more realistic for the audience as well as making it clear of the characters in the film. From watching a lot of thriller and horror films we can see what type of clothes they wear and what props they have. In our film we don't want to use too many props but we are going to use a lot of dark colours such as black and navy for our costumes . We believe that dark colours in horror films makes it more scary and more realistic from other colours such as pinks and bright colours. Dark colours are the usual codes and conventions in the thriller horror genre.
Together as a group we had a brain storm meeting on deciding the name of our production. We recorded our ideas and finally decided the name on 'Nail Biting productions' . We chose this name as it appears gripping, when suggesting the possible names we all thought about the genre suited for our target audience as well as the typical reactions to horror - thrillers. We contemplated with: Teeth churning, edge of seat, shaking, screaming etc overall we thought nail biting loomed impressive. We looked at some images which given inspiration for our logo. The final logo look![]() This is the outcome of Nail biting productions logo design, which will be embedded in our intro for out final opening sequence. Our production introduction videoFor our logo to appear effective, I have used adobe after effects to create a short 10 seconds intro for our institution to appear. Using music maker sound effects is embedded with in the introduction. These are the social classes that we have looked at, there are six types demographic classification each one is different to each other as we can see that A (upper middle class)is higher managerial or professional. these kind of people would be interested mostly about the news, documentaries , are main focus is between B-C2.
With 'New Line cinema' as a famous film production company where it produces a lot of horror films, we decided that this film institution would be a good example for them to produce our film.
We had a discussion together coming up with ideas for our opening sequence and brainstormed and inputing all our ideas together. This was a huge success because it really helped, as everyone suggested really good ideas for our sequence and we took most of them into account for our final production sequence.
This is our brainstorm Recently we have been discussing our opening sequence on Whats App as a group. |
